Find Collaborative Eyewear Manufacturer
Краткое
Freelancer Client is hiring: Find Collaborative Eyewear Manufacturer.
Location: Remote
I have developed an innovative reversible frame concept and intermediate prototype for both sunglasses and optical frames. The basic design work is complete and patent filing is underway, but I now need a reliable manufacturing partner that can take the concept from refined engineering through to volume production.
What you'll do:
• An in-house frame designer or mechanical engineer who will work side-by-side with me all the way—from DFM tweaks and hinge optimisation to material selection, mold preparation, prototyping and final tolerance sign-off. Full collaboration, not just ad-hoc consulting, is essential.
• 1. Research and create a vetted shortlist of manufacturers that meet every criterion (location is open so long as quality standards are proven).
• 2. Provide direct contact details, capability summaries, certification proofs and recent client references for each candidate.
• 3. Arrange initial technical calls so we can confirm fit before sample orders are placed.
• ✓ Minimum of three qualified manufacturers presented.
• ✓ Evidence that each has plastic-frame expertise and an on-staff engineer/designer willing to collaborate.
• ✓ Clear outline of tooling costs, MOQs, sample lead-times and per-unit pricing for scale runs.
• If you already have a trusted network in the eyewear industry, that is a huge plus. I am ready to move quickly once the right partner is identified, so please outline your approach and estimated timeframe when you respond.
Requirements:
• A factory experienced in plastic and metal eyewear frames (injection-moulded or CNC-acetate) that can handle medium- to large-scale output.
• Capability to produce pre-production samples quickly and iterate until we lock specifications.
Skills: CAD/CAM, Manufacturing, Solidworks, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Design, Product Design, DFM (Design for Manufacturing), Supply Chain, Prototyping, Product Development
Budget: $30–$250 USD
