I need an experienced Shopify developer to fix critical user experience issues on my sports apparel ecommerce stores that are impacting conversions.
The main problem is with our product configuration flow - customers are getting confused by the size/gender selection process, leading to wrong orders and cart abandonment. The current setup shows youth and adult sizes mixed together before gender is selected, creating a poor mobile experience.
Requirements:
• 3+ years Shopify theme development experience
• Strong understanding of ecommerce UX and conversion optimization
• Experience with product variant logic and filtering
• Mobile-first development approach
• Knowledge of apparel/sizing workflows preferred
• Ability to work independently and spot issues proactively
Deliverables:
• Fix gender/size selection order and filtering logic
• Improve mobile responsiveness of product configurator
• Clean up button hierarchy and visual design
• Optimize collection structure and navigation paths
• Provide mockups before implementing changes
• Test thoroughly across devices
This is ongoing work with potential for additional store optimization projects. I'm looking for someone who thinks like an ecommerce operator, not just a task-doer - someone who can identify problems and solve them before they cost sales.
About the project: We operate multiple sports apparel stores and need a developer who understands the unique challenges of sizing, team merchandise, and sports retail customer behavior.
