I have a steady stream of 1/8 size book titles waiting for professional desktop-publishing treatment. From the clean MS Word manuscripts I supply, I need you to shape each project into a press-ready product that matches the sample formats I will share.
Page layout and typesetting, including tables, call-outs and need-based image placement
Consistent handling of English text with occasional Sanskrit shlokas and Marathi passages
Preparation of both black-and-white interiors and the few colour pages some books require
High-resolution, print-ready PDFs compliant with my printer’s specifications

Core work
• Page layout and typesetting, including tables, call-outs and need-based image placement
• Consistent handling of English text with occasional Sanskrit shlokas and Marathi passages

• High-resolution, print-ready PDFs compliant with my printer’s specifications
Cover work
Each title also needs a creative four-colour cover that follows our publishing standards, so a strong eye for commercial cover design is essential.
What I will provide
• Fully edited Word manuscripts
• Reference PDFs that show exact margins, grids and styling
• Any cover briefs, logos and ISBN barcodes
Tools such as InDesign, Illustrator and Acrobat Preflight are assumed; feel free to suggest alternatives if they achieve the same quality.
Acceptance
A project is complete when the interior and cover pass my print checks and match the supplied samples page-for-page.
