Mixed YouTube Explainer Video Editor
Summary
Freelancer Client is hiring: Mixed YouTube Explainer Video Editor.
Location: Remote
Raw talking-head footage, screen-recordings, and branded assets arrive on my side; what I need from you is a polished 6–10 minute explainer that meets current YouTube best practices for pacing, engagement, and viewer retention. The final piece should fluidly combine live-action clips with crisp animated overlays, lower thirds, subtle kinetic text, and the occasional full-frame animation sequence to clarify complex points.
A complete, ready-to-upload 16:9 video (4K master + 1080p export) with music, sound-effects, and color-graded footage seamlessly integrated.
One punchy 10–15 sec teaser cut for Shorts/Reels.
Project file (Premiere Pro or Final Cut) with all layers intact for future tweaks.
Key standards I enforce: jump-cuts timed to keep watch-time high, clean audio mixing, royalty-free assets only, and on-screen branding that matches my style guide. I also rely on chapter markers and end-screen elements, so please build those in.
Skills: Animation, After Effects, Sound Design, Video Production, Video Editing, Adobe Premiere Pro, Color Grading
Budget: $1500–$12500 USD

Typical workflow: I provide a script, voice-over, and footage early in the week; a first cut is due within four days, followed by one or two rounds of feedback before final delivery. Cloud transfer via Google Drive works best.
If you are comfortable merging motion graphics (After Effects or similar) with live footage and you actively follow evolving YouTube formatting trends, we should be a great fit. Looking forward to seeing samples of previous mixed-media explainers you have crafted.
