I need a single developer who can take my rough wire-frames and turn them into a fully responsive web application built with React.js on the front end and Node.js + Express.js talking to a MongoDB database on the back end.
Core features I must see working end-to-end are: email/username sign-up, secure login, role-based routing that separates normal users from the admin area, and an admin dashboard where I can view, edit, or delete data. Basic authentication and authorization are enough; I do not need two-factor or heavy encryption, but please follow common OWASP recommendations (hashed passwords, JWT or session cookies, input sanitisation, rate-limiting for sensitive routes).
The UI has to feel smooth on desktop, tablet, and mobile. If you prefer a component library such as Material-UI, Ant Design, Bootstrap, or Tailwind, that’s fine—as long as the final look is clean and easy for me to restyle later. On the back end, the code should be organised into clearly named controllers, routes, and models, with environment variables handled by dotenv so I can change keys without touching the codebase.
I will also need at least one example of external API integration (for instance a payment gateway or a social-login placeholder) so I can see the pattern and extend it myself after hand-over. Feel free to stub a sandbox service if I haven’t provided the live keys in time.
To keep the project student-budget friendly, build on widely available open-source packages, avoid over-engineering, and comment your code generously so I can learn from it.
Deliverables
• Complete, well-structured source code in a Git repository
• Clear setup & deployment guide (local plus a free hosting tier such as Vercel/Render/Heroku)
• Brief API documentation (endpoints, request/response samples)
• Screenshots or a short Loom/video demo proving the major paths—sign-up, login, admin access—are working
Once I can clone, install, seed the database, and log in as both a normal user and an admin without errors, the job is done.
