Original

I’m putting together a study that explores how capital structure choices influence the financial performance of U.S. listed non-financial firms, and I need help crafting the first two sections. The assignment is straightforward: deliver a single, well-structured document of roughly 6,500 words that covers the Introduction and the Literature Review.

The narrative must do three things. First, set the scene by explaining why capital-structure decisions matter for non-financial corporations in the United States. Second, walk the reader through the key capital-structure theories—Modigliani-Miller, trade-off, pecking-order, agency, market-timing and any other widely cited frameworks—showing how each frames the leverage–performance link. Third, engage critically with empirical findings on how leverage, debt maturity, equity issuance and related variables affect ROA, ROE, Tobin’s Q and similar performance indicators, making sure the focus stays on U.S. listed, non-financial firms.

All references need to be properly formatted (APA 7th is preferred) and integrated smoothly into the text.

Deliverables
• Introduction (approx. 1,500–2,000 words) establishing context, research motivation and study objectives.
• Literature Review (approx. 4,500–5,000 words) organised thematically around the theories and empirical evidence described above, ending with clear research gaps that justify my forthcoming hypotheses.
• Reference list with every source cited in-text.

Acceptance criteria
• Academic tone, flawless grammar and logical flow.
• Critical synthesis rather than descriptive summaries.
• Zero plagiarism (Turnitin similarity below 10 %).
• Word file or Google Doc ready for direct insertion into my manuscript.

If you’ve handled finance or accounting research before and enjoy weaving theory with up-to-date evidence, I’d be happy to collaborate and move this chapter forward quickly.
