I’m ready to move our data into a brand-new Azure SQL Database instance and need a seasoned SQL developer to take the lead from design through deployment. What you'll do:
• Designing the database structure and providing the DDL scripts to create it in Azure SQL Database
• Writing any necessary stored procedures, views, or functions to support day-to-day operations
Benefits & perks:
• Supplying clear documentation and a quick reference on how to connect from my existing Microsoft Access front end (if you’ve pulled schemas out of Access before, that’s a bonus)

The job starts with a clean slate—no legacy SQL Server to worry about—so I want a solid, future-proof schema that follows best practices for normalization, indexing, and naming.
Your work will cover:
• Designing the database structure and providing the DDL scripts to create it in Azure SQL Database
• Configuring the instance for performance, security, and scalability (firewall rules, Transparent Data Encryption, role-based access, automated backups, etc.)
• Writing any necessary stored procedures, views, or functions to support day-to-day operations
• Supplying clear documentation and a quick reference on how to connect from my existing Microsoft Access front end (if you’ve pulled schemas out of Access before, that’s a bonus)
Acceptance criteria: a scripted, repeatable deployment that runs without errors in an empty Azure SQL Database; documentation that lets me recreate the environment and connect with client tools; and a short walkthrough call to close any gaps.
If you’ve built Azure SQL solutions end-to-end and can deliver clean, well-commented T-SQL, I’d like to hear how you’d approach this build.
