I’m putting together a fully integrated photobooth that links an external camera, an iPad and a photo printer, and I need the full software side built from the ground up.
Here is the exact flow I want the finished app to follow:
• The iPad sits in idle mode showing a welcome screen whose graphics I’ll design myself. I just need a simple way in-app to swap that artwork whenever I like.
• A tap starts a visible countdown, the camera fires, and the shot is pulled into the iPad.
• The image is sent straight to the printer and comes out as a small photo-strip. The strip layout has to be fully editable so I can change backgrounds and borders, drop in custom text or logos, and even apply fun filters before it prints.
• When the print is ready, the screen offers quick-share buttons: AirDrop and Email. A copy of the image should be attached automatically with no extra steps for the guest.
• While all of this happens, the system records a short video of the session (think behind-the-scenes). Once the photo is shared, the guest can choose to send that clip the same way—AirDrop or Email.
For reliability, everything must work offline except the moments that require network (e-mail sending). Camera control, file transfer and printer commands should be seamless and fast; using native iOS frameworks such as AVFoundation, UIKit, AirPrint or any other proven SDKs is expected.
Deliverables I need to receive:
– iPad app source code and a signed, install-ready build
– Clear instructions for pairing the camera and configuring a dye-sublimation or AirPrint-compatible printer
– Admin area or simple settings screen where I can: replace the welcome artwork, edit the print template, toggle filters, and set default e-mail text
– Documentation covering initial setup, typical troubleshooting steps and how to add new print designs in the future
Once these pieces are in place—and thoroughly tested on-site—the project is done.
