Freelancer Client is hiring: Modify Skirting & Cornice.
Location: Remote
I need two small but precise alterations carried out before a floor-to-ceiling cabinet goes in. First, the timber skirting board has to be cut back in two spots so the new unit can sit flush against the wall. Second, the existing plaster cornice must be mitre-cut at 45° and a middle section carefully removed; this lets the cabinet reach full ceiling height without damaging the surrounding profile.
Once the cabinet is fixed, I want the cornice reinstated tightly around it, adding short return pieces on each side for a seamless finish. I can supply matching plaster cornice for those extra lengths, so you only need to bring the right cutting tools, adhesive and fixings. No painting or staining is required.
Clean, chip-free cuts and crisp joins are essential; everything should look as though the cabinet was always there. If you’ve got solid experience working with timber skirting and plaster mouldings, I’d love to get this booked in.
