I’m looking to commission a single all-round comic artist for a 15 page pilot issue of an original high fantasy story, with the potential to expand into a full ongoing series. This is a paid opportunity.

About the Project:
This is a dark, high fantasy narrative with strong horror elements. The story explores themes of war, genocide, prejudice within a fantasy setting, loss, and hopelessness, while still maintaining an underlying thread of resilience and hope.
The pilot will include:
• A large-scale battle sequence featuring combat, blood, and magic
• Emotional and character-driven moments grounded in a bleak world
Content-wise, the project includes mature themes such as violence and moral complexity. There will be no explicit sexual content or full nudity—at most, occasional implied, consensual situations.
What I’m Looking For:
• Ability to handle full comic production (pencils, inks, colours, and lettering)
• Strong sequential storytelling and panel composition
• Confidence illustrating action, combat, and darker subject matter
• Experience with fantasy elements (armour, creatures, environments, magic)
• Reliability and clear communication
Project Scope:
• 15-page pilot issue
• Paid work (rates to be discussed)
• Potential for long-term collaboration and team expansion if the project continues
