First, help me dial in reliable, professional settings for portrait work—exposure, white balance, Picture Control, flash sync, and autofocus—so every person who steps in front of the backdrop looks consistently sharp and well-lit. I’d like to save the final recipe to the camera’s user banks and understand the “why” behind each choice, not just copy numbers.
Second, I want to turn the setup into a self-studio, i.e.I have a remote trigger and need to pair it with the Nikon D610, confirm it fires the strobes correctly, and show me the simplest workflow for guests to walk in, frame themselves, and take the shot without touching the camera.
Deliverables I’d like at the end of the session:
• Final camera settings saved to both user banks and a short cheat-sheet so I can restore them.
• Remote trigger fully configured, tested, and explained.
• Quick reference on any menu steps we change that could affect future shoots.
If this sounds straightforward to you and you’re confident with Nikon gear in a studio lighting environment focused on people, let’s set up a time please.
