My upcoming casual-wear label is built around the quiet, “old money” aesthetic—understated, timeless, and uncompromising on fit and fabric quality. The very first pieces in the line are men’s shirts, so I need a skilled tailor who can translate that brief into garments that drape perfectly, feel luxurious against the skin, and withstand years of wear.
Scope of work
• Draft or refine a classic yet contemporary shirt block that captures a relaxed but impeccably balanced silhouette.
• Advise on and test high-end natural fabrics (Sea Island cotton, fine linen, lightweight wool blends—open to similar premium options) to ensure they complement the pattern and reinforce the brand’s quiet-luxury positioning.
• Produce sample shirts in several sizes so we can validate seam placement, collar roll, button stance, and overall proportion.
• Iterate until the fit is flawless across sizes; I’m in no rush, so we can take the time needed for multiple fittings and tweaks.
• Provide final production-ready patterns, a detailed spec sheet, and a care/maintenance note for each fabric selected.
Acceptance criteria
– Shoulder line sits clean and flat with no divots.
– Side seams hang straight without twisting after laundering.
– Collar maintains structure with or without a tie.
– All measurements match the signed-off spec within ±2 mm.
When you reply, please include a quick note on previous luxury shirt projects, any fabric mills you regularly source from, and the tailoring equipment or CAD pattern software you prefer. I’m happy to schedule video fittings and can ship fabric swatches or measurement samples worldwide.
