Freelancer Client is hiring: Arizona Braced Wall & Beam Calcs.

Location: Remote

I have a set of county-reviewed plans for a 3 bed / 2 bath framed residence in Yavapai County. The reviewer’s mark-ups call for two items that must be sealed by an Arizona-registered structural engineer.

First, I need a complete braced wall plan—layout, lengths, and supporting calculations—prepared to the 2018 IRC as adopted locally. The design must assume continuous 7/16-inch OSB sheathing around the exterior and respect the county’s amendments.

Second, the front entry porch (8' × 16') relies on two 6×10×8' beams and one 6×12×16' cross beam to carry manufactured roof trusses. I will supply the truss engineering package; you will verify the reactions and produce beam checks (bending, shear, deflection, bearing, and connection requirements). Dead load is asphalt shingles, and roof snow load is 20 psf at 4,660 ft elevation in central Arizona.

Enercalc is my preferred platform—you can use the 30-day trial if needed—so that I receive a file I can review and the county can open quickly. Final deliverables are:

PDF of stamped calculations for the braced wall system and porch beams
