Node.js, React.js for Live streaming website work needed
Summary
Freelancer Client is hiring: Node.js, React.js for Live streaming website work needed.
Location: Remote
I have an existing live-streaming web app built with React.js on the client and Node.js on the server. The core pages already load, but several streaming-related components still need polish and, in a few cases, full implementation. I’m looking for someone who is comfortable jumping into a partially completed codebase, tidying up what’s there, then adding any missing pieces so viewers can watch streams smoothly and interact in real time.
What you'll do:
• We’ll review the current streaming layer together; if you feel another protocol (WebRTC, HLS, or RTMP) would serve us better, I’m open to your recommendation provided it keeps latency low and scales well.
• You’ll focus on wiring the React components to the Node.js endpoints, tightening up state management, and making sure the video player, chat widget, and auth flow cooperate without hiccups.
• Clean, well-commented code is a must—everything goes through a quick pull-request review before merging into main.
Skills: JavaScript, Node.js, Express JS, AngularJS, React.js, Backend Development, Frontend Development, WebRTC
Budget: $2–$8 USD

I’m looking for someone who is comfortable jumping into a partially completed codebase, tidying up what’s there, then adding any missing pieces so viewers can watch streams smoothly and interact in real time.
Here’s what you can expect once we start:
• I’ll walk you through the repo structure, current routing, and the sections that already work.
• Once each feature lands, I’ll test on staging; when it passes, you push to production.
If you’ve built or optimized a live-streaming interface before, especially using React hooks with socket.io or similar real-time libraries, I’d love to see it. Let’s get this platform stable and ready for more viewers.
