Original
I need a fast-paced, hands-on bootcamp that takes me from the raw SAP tables already landed in Databricks all the way to a working financial-reporting dashboard.
Scope of the training
• FI & CO focus: General Ledger Accounting (FI-GL), Cost Center Accounting (CO-OM-CCA) and Internal Orders (CO-OM-OPA). Please walk me through the key tables, field meanings, and the joins typically used for each area.
• SQL in Databricks: I can read and write basic queries, but I want to become confident writing production-grade statements, optimising them for performance, and—importantly—prompting Gen AI tools to generate correct SQL from everyday FI/CO terminology.
• Dashboard build: show me, step by step, how to turn those queries into a Databricks SQL dashboard designed for financial analysis and reporting. I would like practical examples such as a P&L view, cost-centre variance, and internal-order tracking.
Deliverables
1. Live or recorded sessions (screen-share preferred) covering the topics above.
2. Annotated Databricks notebooks with sample queries for FI-GL, CO-CCA, and CO-OPA.
3. A working Databricks dashboard template I can reuse.
4. A quick-reference cheat sheet mapping FI/CO business terms to key SAP tables and columns.
Acceptance
I should be able to:
• Explain the table relationships for GL, cost centres and internal orders.
• Use a Gen AI prompt to create a correct SQL query and know how to refine it.
• Build or modify a Databricks dashboard that refreshes off my own queries.
If this is within your wheelhouse, outline your proposed session structure and timeline so we can get started right away.
