I'm seeking an experienced payment processing consultant to help my legally registered business set up reliable, compliant merchant services. My business operates in an industry that traditional banks classify as "high-risk," and I need expert guidance to find the right processing partners and stay fully compliant with all applicable regulations.
About the role:
- Advise on selecting reputable, properly licensed high-risk merchant account providers and payment gateways
- Help prepare and organize accurate application materials (business documentation, processing history, financials) for underwriting
- Advise on chargeback prevention, dispute management, and reserve negotiation
- Guide me through compliance requirements (PCI DSS, KYC/AML, and card network compliance, including reinstatement procedures where applicable)
- Recommend redundancy strategies (multiple MIDs, load balancing, backup processors) to keep operations stable
- Provide guidance on cross-border processing, currency support, and alternative payment methods where appropriate
Ideal background:
- Hands-on experience placing and managing high-risk merchant accounts
- Strong existing relationships with reputable acquiring banks and PSPs
- Deep knowledge of card brand rules, PCI compliance, and chargeback mitigation tools (e.g., Ethoca, Verifi/RDR/CDRN)
- Familiarity with onboarding for industries banks commonly classify as high-risk
- Excellent written English and clear communication

- Timely responses and decision-making
