Scope
• Contact the named former employer (only one) and independently confirm the authenticity of the employment certificate the candidate has supplied.
• Validate every detail on that certificate—job title, responsibilities, start and end dates, and reason for leaving—against the employer’s official records.
• Capture how the information was obtained (phone, email, signed letter) and the name, title, and contact details of the company representative who verified it.
