Unity 2D Prototype Finishing Support
Summary
Freelancer Client is hiring: Unity 2D Prototype Finishing Support.
Location: Remote
I already have a playable pre-alpha build of my 2D, top-down “indie developer simulator.” The core loop, three mini-games, and a working save system are in place, but I need an extra pair of Unity-savvy hands to bring the prototype up to show-ready quality.
What you'll do:
• Polish the existing UI, add clean navigation menus, and create upgrade-confirmation pop-ups.
• Implement a clear “Not enough money” feedback system that blocks the action and explains why.
• Build a pause/settings menu that toggles with the ESC key (audio sliders, resolution, quit to main menu).
• Inject small, unique mechanics for different manager types and order types to give each run more variety.
Skills: Mobile App Development, iPhone, C# Programming, Unity 3D, Game Development, UI / User Interface, 2D Game Art, Unity
Budget: $10–$30 USD

I already have a playable pre-alpha build of my 2D, top-down “indie developer simulator.” The core loop, three mini-games, and a working save system are in place, but I need an extra pair of Unity-savvy hands to bring the prototype up to show-ready quality.
Here’s what I would like you to tackle next:
• Polish the existing UI, add clean navigation menus, and create upgrade-confirmation pop-ups.
• Implement a clear “Not enough money” feedback system that blocks the action and explains why.
• Build a pause/settings menu that toggles with the ESC key (audio sliders, resolution, quit to main menu).
• Refine the feel of each mini-game so they read better and flow smoothly with the rest of the loop.
• Inject small, unique mechanics for different manager types and order types to give each run more variety.
• Squash bugs and tighten general gameplay logic across the board.
All graphics can stay placeholder or use free asset-store art; I’m focused purely on rock-solid systems, clean C# architecture, and maintainable code that slots neatly into the existing repository.
If this sounds like your wheelhouse, please send:
1. A quick portfolio link or two that shows previous Unity 2D or UI-heavy work (even jam projects are fine).
2. Your typical availability in the next few weeks.
3. A ballpark rate or preferred billing structure.
Experience with save-system workflows and a knack for thoughtful UI transitions will stand out. Should everything click, I’m open to extending the collaboration well beyond this polish pass as the game grows toward beta.
Looking forward to seeing what you’ve shipped!
