I need a full set of engineering documents for a container-footprint mobile feedmill dedicated to animal feed production. Everything must sit inside a steel frame that locks straight onto standard 40 ft container pins, so overall envelope, axle loadings, and weight distribution have to be respected from the outset.
Process flow to capture
• A pivoting chain auger receives grain from a truck or silo and feeds a rotary scalper.
• Material is elevated to a 500 kg holding hopper, drops through a rollermill, then collects in a 1 000 kg surge hopper.
• Another elevation leg delivers product to a 1 000 kg paddle mixer.
• Two separate 1 t micro/macro dosing systems meter additives into the mixer, followed by a weighed molasses line.
• Mixed feed discharges to a dump hopper and is conveyed out of the plant to the customer’s reception point.
I will supply a detailed flow diagram before you begin, but the package you return must include:
1. 3-D layout (STEP or SolidWorks) showing every component and service route.
2. Structural drawings for the steel frame with lifting, tie-down and road-transport points aligned to ISO container specs.
3. Fabrication drawings for hoppers, chutes, guards and support towers.
4. Mechanical specifications for the chain auger, scalper, elevators, rollermill, mixer, conveyors and dosing systems, including drive sizing and access for maintenance.
5. Piping and instrumentation diagram covering product, molasses and compressed-air lines, plus an outline electrical single-line.
6. Bill of materials with weight, power, and vendor data.
7. Compliance notes for road-legal height, axle load and workplace safety (guarding, ladders, handrails).
Acceptance criteria
• Complete model fits inside 40 ft × 8 ft × 9 ft 6 in envelope with pin alignment verified.
• Total mass and axle reactions documented.
• All product paths achieve the capacities stated above without pinch points.
• Drawings are ready for fabrication—no missing dimensions or material call-outs.
Preferred tools are SolidWorks or Inventor for mechanical work and AutoCAD for 2-D detailing, but let me know if you propose an equivalent. I’m ready to clarify anything once you have the flow diagram in hand.
