I have an existing concept for a physical product destined for industrial environments. Visually it is close to final, but the functional design still needs expert refinement so the item can move smoothly from prototype to reliable, large-scale production.
Your task is to analyse the current CAD files, identify where form interferes with function, and redesign the mechanisms, joints, tolerances or internal layouts that are preventing practical manufacturability. Material choice is mostly fixed, yet suggestions that improve strength-to-weight or simplify assembly are welcome as long as they stay within the industrial constraints we face.
Deliverables I need from you:
• Updated 3D CAD model (SolidWorks, Fusion 360 or comparable native format)
• Detailed engineering drawings with critical dimensions, tolerances and assembly notes
• A concise design-for-manufacture report highlighting changes, rationale and any special production considerations
The design will be considered complete when the revised files can be sent directly to our machining and fabrication partners without additional rework and all moving parts operate as intended in a simple motion simulation.
