Concealed AC Airflow Design
Summary
Freelancer Client is hiring: Concealed AC Airflow Design.
Location: Remote
I need a detailed airflow layout for a single 2-ton concealed-type air-conditioning unit dedicated to my apartment’s living room. The goal is to position supply and return grilles, size short ducts, and specify diffuser counts so the space is cooled evenly without visible equipment intruding on the décor.
A scaled plan showing the indoor unit location, duct routing, and grille placement.
Airflow and static-pressure calculations confirming each outlet’s CFM and throw.
A brief material schedule (duct dimensions, grille models, insulation specs) so my installer can price and order immediately.
Any notes that will help the contractor keep the unit fully concealed yet serviceable.
Skills: Mechanical Engineering, AutoCAD, Air Conditioning, Building Design, Thermal Analysis, Building Information Modeling, HVAC, Construction Management
Budget: $2–$8 USD

The goal is to position supply and return grilles, size short ducts, and specify diffuser counts so the space is cooled evenly without visible equipment intruding on the décor.
Here’s what I expect as final deliverables:
• A scaled plan showing the indoor unit location, duct routing, and grille placement.
• Airflow and static-pressure calculations confirming each outlet’s CFM and throw.
• A brief material schedule (duct dimensions, grille models, insulation specs) so my installer can price and order immediately.
• Any notes that will help the contractor keep the unit fully concealed yet serviceable.
Please base the design on standard residential HVAC practices and include any assumptions you make about ceiling height or heat load so I can verify them before work begins.
