I’m laying the groundwork for AltForge Lab—a mobile-first open-world role-play experience where players hold jobs, earn salaries, buy cars and houses, and interact through an in-game chat. The visual style will stay purposefully minimalistic so we can concentrate on smooth Android performance and steady network play. Unity is locked in as the engine, so you’ll need solid C# and multiplayer know-how.
What you'll do:
• Economy and job modules (police, EMS, delivery, mechanic, business owner) with configurable salaries, taxes, and transaction logs
• Full Android optimisation pass: input, screen ratios, memory footprint, and a build that runs at 30 fps on mid-range devices
Requirements:
• Core multiplayer framework in Unity (Mirror, Netcode for GameObjects, or another proven solution) with lobby, instancing, and authoritative server logic

What I need you to deliver:
• Core multiplayer framework in Unity (Mirror, Netcode for GameObjects, or another proven solution) with lobby, instancing, and authoritative server logic
• Persistent player-saving system that writes character stats, inventories, properties, and cash to a secure database and reloads them seamlessly on login
• Economy and job modules (police, EMS, delivery, mechanic, business owner) with configurable salaries, taxes, and transaction logs
• Vehicle system covering spawning, ownership, fuel, damage, and storage
• Lightweight UI for phone, wallet, inventory, and menus—clean, touch-friendly, and easy to reskin
• In-game text chat (global, proximity, and private) as the first interactive channel, architected so voice and emotes can slot in later
• Full Android optimisation pass: input, screen ratios, memory footprint, and a build that runs at 30 fps on mid-range devices
Acceptance criteria:
1. Headless server and Android client connect reliably with 50 simulated players for 30 minutes without data loss or crashes.
2. A first-time player can create a character, take a delivery job, receive pay, buy a basic car, log out, and return to the same state.
3. All systems are modular, commented, and documented so future creators can extend them without rewriting core code.
