Our real estate investment and short-term rental company manages a growing portfolio of high-end units and now needs Odoo to serve as the single source of truth for everything that happens inside each property. The first milestone is a rock-solid physical unit inventory module with live unit availability tracking that plugs seamlessly into the wider Odoo ecosystem. Once this foundation is in place, we will layer on maintenance, leasing, accounting, and short-stay workflows, but availability visibility is the immediate priority.
What you'll do:
• Design a data model that captures every unit, room, and critical asset so availability can be shown in real time.
• User roles set so managers can edit inventory while frontline staff have view-only access.

Scope of work
• Design a data model that captures every unit, room, and critical asset so availability can be shown in real time.
• Configure and customise Odoo (preferably v16 or above) to surface that data through dashboards, calendars, and API endpoints usable by our booking channels.
• Migrate existing spreadsheets into the new structure without downtime for ongoing reservations.
• Train our operations team on daily use and basic admin tasks.
Acceptance criteria
• A live calendar or list view in Odoo displaying current and future vacancy/occupancy for each unit.
• Accurate sync with our manual test bookings and a short stress-test dataset (to be provided).
• User roles set so managers can edit inventory while frontline staff have view-only access.
• Documentation covering setup, custom code, and a rollback plan.
