I’m enhancing our new browser-based Time Tracker so it does more than record hours. I want it to evolve into a lightweight project-management hub, starting with one priority feature: team collaboration.
Scope
• Add a collaboration layer that lets multiple freelancers work together inside the Time Tracker.
• Integrate real-time updates with the existing hour-logging flow so everyone can see who’s working on what as time is tracked.
• Include at least one seamless communication touch-point—this could be built-in chat, quick file drops, or a shared task board. I’m open to whichever approach keeps the interface clean and requires the least friction for users.
• Preserve current tracker performance and security; the new pieces must load quickly and respect the same data-privacy rules already in place.
• Provide concise setup notes and an overview of the code changes so my team can maintain the feature after hand-over.
What I’ll review
1. A working web module, merged or stubbed into the existing React/JavaScript codebase.
2. A short demo (URL or screen recording) showing two users collaborating while the tracker records time.
3. Clear, commented code plus a brief readme that explains how to deploy or toggle the new collaboration feature.
If you have prior experience bolting collaborative tools onto productivity apps—especially ones that run entirely in the browser—I’d love to see examples.
