Our SaaS platform relies on a modern, micro-service architecture and I need a senior-level engineer to own the API layer. The entire backend is built on .NET 5 and newer, so deep experience with that runtime is essential.
What you'll do:
• Developing new RESTful and gRPC APIs that integrate with internal services and external partners
• Refactoring and maintaining the existing API endpoints to boost performance and reliability
• Owning database design, migrations, and optimization (SQL Server/PostgreSQL) to keep data operations fast and secure

Here’s what you’ll tackle right away:
• Developing new RESTful and gRPC APIs that integrate with internal services and external partners
• Refactoring and maintaining the existing API endpoints to boost performance and reliability
• Owning database design, migrations, and optimization (SQL Server/PostgreSQL) to keep data operations fast and secure
Deliverables are straightforward:
1. Clean, well-documented code committed to our Git repository
2. Unit and integration test coverage for every new or modified endpoint
3. Migration scripts and an updated ERD for any database changes
4. A brief deployment guide outlining configuration keys, environment variables, and CI/CD steps
Acceptance is based on all tests passing in our Azure DevOps pipeline and a successful staging deployment that meets agreed-upon response-time thresholds.
Tools & stack you’ll touch: .NET 6/7, Entity Framework Core, Swagger/OpenAPI, Docker, and Azure SQL.
Collaboration happens in daily stand-ups on Teams, with tasks managed in Jira. If this matches your skill set, I’ll grant repo access and we can start with the first milestone right away.
