We need an experienced Excel MIS / Business Analyst freelancer to validate and improve an Excel-based garment manufacturing order tracker.
I have an Excel workbook that follows each garment order from buyer PO through merchandising, procurement, production, dispatch, GRN and finally payment follow-up. Right now it falls short in three obvious ways: formulas misfire, the workflow feels tangled, and key data fields are either missing or only half-filled. Because the sheet’s core job is to let me monitor production progress in real time, those gaps make day-to-day factory use frustrating.
I’m looking for a freelancer who can step in, audit everything, and turn the file into a practical, error-free tool. A background in garment manufacturing or export operations will help you understand the abbreviations, typical lead times, and the way merchandising overlaps with production.
Scope of work
• Open the workbook, trace every formula, and repair or replace anything that isn’t returning the correct result.
• Re-think the sheet structure so information flows naturally from PO entry to final payment, adding any fields that a line supervisor or merchandiser would expect to see.
• Tighten the status logic so a single glance shows exactly where an order stands.
• Ensure the tracker remains lightweight enough for factory staff to update without advanced Excel skills.
Deliverables
1. Corrected Excel workbook ready for live use.
2. A brief log summarising each issue you found and how you fixed it.
3. A one-page workflow document that explains the new process flow.
4. Forward-looking suggestions on how the same data could feed a dashboard or eventual software solution.
(If you do well expect future projects as well)
