Freelancer Client is hiring: Event Map Design for Capital Athletics.
Location: Remote
We are looking to create a single stylised event map by combining the attached course maps into one clear, user-friendly design.
What you'll do:
• Create a more user-friendly and visually clear map key/legend.
• Remove the power station icon/reference.
• Remove all Stromlo Forest Park branding.
• Remove any reference to MTB.
• Add Capital Athletics branding and ensure the design aligns with the Capital Athletics style guide.
• The current megaphone icon should be changed to represent the Technical Information Centre.
• The finish line should be drawn across the location of the drinking water stations currently marked “BC”.
• Just above the area marked “B”, please add a marker for the:

We are looking to create a single stylised event map by combining the attached course maps into one clear, user-friendly design.
The final map should show all four event courses overlaid on the same base map, with each course individually identifiable using different coloured course lines. The map needs to be easy for athletes, spectators, officials and volunteers to understand.
The Woden Park – Synthetic Athletics Track Enclosed Oval diagram is provided as an example of the style of map we are looking for but does not include usable content
Key requirements
The designer will need to:
Combine the attached maps into one cohesive, stylised event map.
Show each of the four courses on the same map.
Use clearly different coloured lines to identify each course.
Include all important event infrastructure, such as:
Toilets
Parking
Café
First aid
Athlete marshalling area
Recorders area
Start and finish line
Technical Information Centre
Other key event support infrastructure as appropriate
Create a more user-friendly and visually clear map key/legend.
Remove the power station icon/reference.
Remove all Stromlo Forest Park branding.
Remove any reference to MTB.
Add Capital Athletics branding and ensure the design aligns with the Capital Athletics style guide.
