Japanese Interpreter for Consulting
Summary
Freelancer Client is hiring: Japanese Interpreter for Consulting.
Location: Remote
I’m coordinating a series of business-consulting engagements with Japanese firms and need a seasoned interpreter who can bridge language, culture, and technology without missing a beat. The conversations often explore web, mobile-app, and AI solutions, so you must be able to explain technical concepts to executive-level stakeholders just as comfortably as you handle everyday business etiquette (ビジネスマナー).
What you'll do:
• Real-time interpretation during high-stakes client meetings
• Precise translation and localization of slide decks, proposals, and other documents
• Clear, well-toned email communication that reflects Japanese formality levels
• What will set you up for success: near-native Japanese fluency, at least two years living in Japan, and a proven record of supporting cross-cultural IT or consulting projects. A background in software or AI development, plus 3–7 years in an IT-consulting or client-facing role, would be ideal.
• If you thrive on translating complex technical ideas into culturally resonant language, I’d love to hear how you can help keep our projects running smoothly and professionally.
