Engineering Manuscript Language Refinement
Summary
Freelancer Client is hiring: Engineering Manuscript Language Refinement.
Location: Remote
I have a completed engineering research manuscript that is ready for submission to a top-tier journal, but its language still needs to be elevated to publication caliber. Every fact, data point, and structural element must stay exactly as written; the task is purely linguistic.
My highest priority is the precise use of technical terminology: every acronym, formula description, and domain-specific phrase should read as if written by an expert insider. Naturally I expect grammar, syntax, flow, and overall readability to be polished as well, yet none of those improvements should dilute or shift the original meaning.
You will work directly in Microsoft Word, applying Track Changes so I can review every edit alongside a clean, final version. A brief notes file summarising style decisions or recurring issues would also be helpful for my future revisions.

Deliverables:
• Edited manuscript with Track Changes
• Clean, publication-ready manuscript
• Short editorial memo outlining key terminology choices and style adjustments
If you have deep familiarity with IEEE, ASME, or similar engineering style guides, mention it in your proposal; that kind of insight often makes the difference at peer review. I look forward to seeing how you can refine the paper while keeping its technical integrity intact.
