Enhance Existing ASP.NET Asset Management

Краткое

Freelancer Client is hiring: Enhance Existing ASP.NET Asset Management.

Location: Remote

I have a fully-functional, web-based ASP.NET C# asset management system that now needs to grow. You will begin by cloning the current repository and exploring its layered architecture, paying close attention to how the SQL Server database is structured and how the data-access layer is wired up. From there, your mission is to extend core modules without disturbing what already works.

Key goals are to introduce maintenance and work-order workflows, asset history with drill-down reporting, document and image uploads tied to each record, and—if the codebase allows—QR or barcode scanning for fast look-ups. In parallel, I want the main dashboard to feel snappier and more intuitive, so any refactoring that improves query performance, filter logic or UI polish is welcome.

Expect to troubleshoot legacy quirks, tighten up performance, and write clean, well-commented code that fits the existing conventions. Unit tests or at least reproducible manual test cases for every new feature are a must so regression risk stays low.

When you reply, please reference similar ASP.NET or .NET Core projects you’ve modernised or extended, highlight any experience with QR/barcode libraries, and outline the first steps you’d take to get local builds running. I’ll grant access to the repository and a staging database as soon as we agree on scope and milestones.

Skills: .NET, C# Programming, ASP.NET, Microsoft SQL Server, .NET Core, Database Design, Database Management, API Development

Budget: $250–$750 USD
