We are seeking an experienced Mechanical / Hydraulic Systems Engineer to assist in the development, optimisation, and finalisation of several advanced suppression system platforms.

The role involves practical engineering, hydraulic validation, manifold and nozzle optimisation, system integration, and support for manufacturable production-ready designs.

Scope of Work

The successful candidate will be expected to assist with:

hydraulic and flow performance calculations pressure drop calculations across hoses, manifolds, fittings, and nozzles nozzle sizing and orifice optimisation manifold and header design optimisation horizontal and vertical cylinder architecture review suppression discharge performance validation flexible hose routing optimisation support for scalable multi-outlet suppression systems integration of mechanical and electronic components PCB housing integration and mounting considerations support for PT100, LHD, and related detection hardware integration review of serviceability, manufacturability, and installation practicality

The engineer may also be required to provide recommendations regarding:

flow balancing discharge timing pressure retention fluid distribution consistency nozzle placement strategies suppression coverage optimisation System Types

The systems include:

compact water/foam suppression systems compact clean agent systems distributed multi-zone suppression systems modular industrial suppression platforms

Applications include:

vehicles engine bays mining equipment industrial machinery transformers electrical infrastructure commercial hazards industrial control systems Deliverables & Expectations

The successful contractor is expected to provide:

professional engineering input and practical solutions editable native CAD updates where applicable production-ready recommendations hydraulic calculations and validation data nozzle and flow recommendations clear engineering communication organised deliverables suitable for manufacturing review

The expectation is not only conceptual design work, but practical engineering validation to support reliable real-world operation and manufacturing readiness.

Experience with suppression systems, pressure vessels, industrial hydraulics, fluid flow systems, or fire protection equipment is highly desirable.
