We are developing a stylized pirate game called Royal Pirates and are looking for a freelance 3D artist who can create modern, stylized 3D game assets based on references and concept images.
What you'll do:
• 1. Stylized pirate ships
• 2. Small tropical islands
• 3. Pirate buildings and huts
• 4. Wooden docks, bridges and platforms
• 5. Palm trees, rocks, barrels, crates and decoration props
• 6. Simple funny pirate themed characters or mascots
• 7. Other game ready assets based on our references
• We are looking for someone who can turn 2D references into clean and usable 3D models. You may use AI tools as support, but the final result must be clean, structured and usable in a game engine.
Requirements:
• 1. Good experience with Blender
• 2. Ability to create stylized 3D game assets
• 3. Experience with UV mapping and texturing
• 4. Ability to create or bake normal maps and height/displacement maps
• 5. Ability to export models as FBX, OBJ or GLB
• 6. Clean topology and organized project files
• 7. Ability to work from reference images
• 8. Good communication in English

We are developing a stylized pirate game called Royal Pirates and are looking for a freelance 3D artist who can create modern, stylized 3D game assets based on references and concept images.
The game has a colorful pirate theme with ships, islands, tropical environments, funny details and clean stylized visuals. We need someone who can help us create multiple game assets over time.
Possible tasks include creating:
1. Stylized pirate ships
2. Small tropical islands
3. Pirate buildings and huts
4. Wooden docks, bridges and platforms
5. Palm trees, rocks, barrels, crates and decoration props
6. Simple funny pirate themed characters or mascots
7. Other game ready assets based on our references
We are looking for someone who can turn 2D references into clean and usable 3D models. You may use AI tools as support, but the final result must be clean, structured and usable in a game engine.
One important technical point is that our ships are not used as freely rotating real time 3D models in the game. Instead, they are shown in 4 fixed directions.
Because of that, each ship needs to be exported as pre rendered 2D sprites in 4 directions, not only as the final beauty render. We also need additional passes or maps for each direction, for example normal maps and depth maps, because our water in Unity is generated dynamically and uses these maps for proper visual interaction, lighting and depth based effects.
Deliverables may include:
1. 3D model files in FBX, OBJ or GLB format
2. Blender source file
3. Base color / albedo texture
4. Normal map
5. Height map or displacement map
6. Roughness map
7. Ambient occlusion map
8. Optimized low-poly or game-ready version when needed
Requirements:
