I’m ready to move from concept to proof on a new building and need a structural engineer to run a complete analysis before we lock in the final design. You’ll be working with the architectural plans I provide and any supporting site data you request, then verifying that the structure can safely handle all applicable dead, live, wind, and seismic loads.
The job calls for:
• A full structural model in your preferred software (ETABS, SAP2000, STAAD, or equivalent)
• Member sizing and load-path calculations that comply with local building codes
• A concise calculation report, clearly referencing code clauses and safety factors
• Mark-ups or CAD sheets highlighting any required changes to the current layout
• A summary sheet with key assumptions, results, and recommendations I can share with the architect and contractor
Acceptance criteria: the report must trace every load combination to a pass/fail check, include deflection limits, and flag any areas where the design falls short of code. Deliver everything in PDF plus native files so I can review or have another engineer peer-check if needed.
Timelines, file formats, and any further information you require can be discussed as soon as we connect.
