• Maintain accurate CRM records, outreach tracking, and pipeline reporting
• Assist with the development and refinement of outreach materials and commercial propositions
Requirements:
• We are looking for a self-starter who is comfortable operating across a broad remit and taking ownership of their workload from day one. The following are important:
• Proven closing experience
• Experience communicating and building relationships at C-suite and senior decision-maker level
• A self-starter who can work independently, manage their own pipeline, and drive activity without being chased
• Strong communication skills – confident, professional, and articulate in written and verbal form
• Commercially minded and target-oriented with a genuine hunger to perform
• Comfortable issuing and managing contracts and partnership documentation
• Strong research skills and high attention to detail

We are seeking a commercially driven Business Development Manager to support sponsorship development, speaker engagement, and operational coordination for a premium, invitation-focused business event operating within hospitality, real estate, and investment-related sectors.
This is a flexible part-time role suited to someone confident in outreach, relationship-building, and external-facing communication, while also being comfortable supporting research, administration, and operational tasks within a lean, fast-moving environment.
Hours: Approximately 8 hours per week, split across 2 days
Compensation: $200 per week base + commission on closed sponsorships / partnerships
Remote / fully flexible
Part-time, self-employed / freelance basis
Time Zone: 9am - 1pm US East Coast
Start Date: May 2026, with initial 2 week trial period
BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
The primary focus of this role is outreach, partnership development, and closing sponsorship and partnership deals. You will be liaising professionally with senior stakeholders across hospitality, real estate, and investment sectors via video zoom calls. Some warm leads will be provided across key verticals, but proactive outreach will be expected alongside this and you will be responsible for identifying, engaging, and closing opportunities independently. You will own the full sales cycle from first contact through to signed agreement.
- Identify and engage relevant companies, sponsors, and decision-makers across target verticals
- Lead proactive outreach via email, LinkedIn, and phone – in addition to following up on warm introductions provided
- Own the full sales cycle: outreach, qualification, commercial conversations, negotiation, and closing
Issue and manage contracts and partnership agreements through to signature
- Conduct structured follow-up and manage pipeline progression to ensure deals are closed in a timely manner
- Maintain accurate CRM records, outreach tracking, and pipeline reporting
- Assist with the development and refinement of outreach materials and commercial propositions
- Coordinate meetings, briefings, and follow-up activity on behalf of the team
ADMINISTRATION & EXTERNAL ENGAGEMENT
A key aspect of the role is acting as an external-facing representative of the business on calls and in written communications. As a lean team, this role requires genuine flexibility and support on ad hoc operational and organisational tasks as required by the team.
Whilst business development activity is the core focus, the successful candidate will occasionally support the team with research, planning, and operational tasks that keep the business running efficiently. This may include engaging with potential panel speakers, researching local vendors, suppliers and general business administration
IDEAL CANDIDATE

- Familiarity with LinkedIn outreach, CRM tools, or outreach tracking platforms is an advantage
COMPENSATION
This role is structured to reward performance. Alongside a weekly base retainer, there is a commission structure on closed deals and a performance bonus tier for candidates who consistently hit and exceed targets. The more you close, the more you earn.
$200 usd per week base retainer
Commission on every closed sponsorship – structure shared on application
Performance bonus for hitting and exceeding agreed targets
