What you'll do:
• Design a clean VPC layout with subnets aligned to dev, staging, and prod environments
• Set up private service access for Google APIs, Cloud SQL, and other managed services I’ll add later
• Implement basic IAM roles and service accounts for least-privilege access

I’m ready to bring a new workload onto Google Cloud and need the underlying network built properly from day one. The scope is strictly infrastructure setup—specifically VPC design and configuration—so I can plug my applications in without worrying about routing, security, or future scalability.
Here’s what I expect you to handle:
• Design a clean VPC layout with subnets aligned to dev, staging, and prod environments
• Configure custom routes, firewall rules, and Cloud NAT where needed
• Set up private service access for Google APIs, Cloud SQL, and other managed services I’ll add later
• Implement basic IAM roles and service accounts for least-privilege access
• Produce an architecture diagram plus step-by-step deployment notes (Terraform preferred, but gcloud scripts are acceptable)
Acceptance criteria
• All assets live in my GCP project and pass a least-privilege audit (no broad 0.0.0.0/0 ingress)
• End-to-end ping tests succeed between subnets while isolating environments as documented
• The final handoff includes reproducible code or scripts, diagram, and a brief walkthrough call
If you’ve built secure, scalable VPCs before and can turn this around quickly, let’s get started.
