Our central SQL Server, the backbone for the design software my 10-person team relies on every day, has slowed to a crawl. Queries lag, the CPU sits at a steady 100 % and we’re starting to feel the pain of frequent locks that stall productivity. I haven’t touched the configuration recently, so I suspect the bottleneck lies in a mix of schema design, missing or ineffective indexes and plain hardware fatigue. A brand-new machine is already on order, but it won’t arrive for a few months. I need an experienced performance specialist who can squeeze every possible ounce of speed out of this current box so we can keep working smoothly until the upgrade lands.
