I need a local researcher who lives near to or lives in Berkeley, California in the United States of America, to go in person to the Graduate Theological Union Library, 2400 Ridge Road, Berkeley, CA 94709, USA. This library is open to the public so no library membership card is needed to gain entry to it.
The researcher will physically access 2 books which are out of copyright and in the public domain and scan the entirety of both books in the PDF Format. These books have not been digitised and are not online so you will be working with physical copies. The scan needs to be checked to ensure that no pages from the books have been missed.
A public domain verification document is provided here for the researcher to prove that the books are out of copyright and in the public domain and can therefore be scanned in their entirety. This document should be taken to the library in case proof of public domain status is asked for by a librarian.
The scans need to be checked for viruses and malware by using the free check at website https://metadefender.com. This involves uploading the file and then running the scan. Due to the size of the PDF documents the researcher may need to compress each PDF. The researcher will then email the scans to the person who is posting this job.

Please bring a flash drive to save images from the scanner. (2) be able to upload the scans and check the scans are not infected with any virus or malware by using the following website https://metadefender.com for a free scan of the documents (3) be able to take a screenshot of each scan result prove the scans were checked (4) be able to compress the file if this is needed to send it by email (5) be able to send the scanned and checked documents via email.
