I am working on an academic journal article . The article is at preliminary research stage and drafting stage and requires a skilled research assistant to conduct targeted legal and policy research, source and analyze primary documents, gather empirical data, and develop specific sections of the paper under my direction. This is academic work requiring genuine research skills. I am not looking for someone to write the article from scratch or use AI to generate content. I need a researcher who can find, read, and accurately synthesize real legal texts, policy documents, and academic literature.
Conduct a systematic search of academic databases (Google Scholar, Scopus, HeinOnline, SSRN) to identify peer-reviewed articles, book chapters, and working papers relevant to the article's core themes: regional electricity market design in Africa, regulatory instrument design theory, EU electricity market regulation, and cross-border energy trade in ECOWAS and ECCAS countries
Identify and flag the most relevant and recent literature published between 2019 and 2025 that should be incorporated into the article
Ensure all existing citations in the draft are accurate and complete
Based on the analytical notes and my outline and instructions, draft or expand specific sections of the article and provide references from your Biblography that I can use to further draft

Specific Tasks
The research assistant will be expected to:
Literature and Bibliography
Conduct a systematic search of academic databases (Google Scholar, Scopus, HeinOnline, SSRN) to identify peer-reviewed articles, book chapters, and working papers relevant to the article's core themes: regional electricity market design in Africa, regulatory instrument design theory, EU electricity market regulation, and cross-border energy trade in ECOWAS and ECCAS countries

Drafting and Development
Based on the analytical notes and my outline and instructions, draft or expand specific sections of the article and provide references from your Biblography that I can use to further draft
Follow the structure and argument I provide, the assistant develops content within my framework, they do not reframe the argument
Flag clearly in the draft where further input or decision from me is needed
Ensure all drafted content is properly referenced and free of plagiarism
Deliverables
Drafted or expanded sections of the article as directed, in Microsoft Word format with tracked changes enabled ( No AI, usage. All deliverables to be vetted against AI )
Annotated bibliography of relevant literature with brief notes on each source's relevance
Empirical data summary with full source citation
