We are building a premium babywear brand focused on elevated, coastal-inspired essentials and are seeking an experienced sourcing partner to help identify and manage high-quality manufacturing relationships for long-term production.
The initial collection will focus on soft, durable UPF50+ babywear, including zip-up sunsuits and shorties designed for comfort, functionality, and premium presentation. The aesthetic is clean, coastal luxury inspired by Palm Beach resort wear rather than loud character prints.
Fabric preferences include extremely soft bamboo blends and premium organic cotton knits with good recovery, durability, breathability, and wash performance. We prioritize performance fabrics that balance softness and functionality without feeling overly sporty or stiff.
Construction quality is critical, with attention to zipper quality, seam finishing, stretch retention, softness after repeated washing, fit consistency, and overall presentation to convey premium quality. We want parents to feel the investment in quality the moment they touch it.
Quality is the highest priority. We are specifically looking for factories and mills that can demonstrate:
* fiber provenance and fabric traceability
* infant-safe dye processes and chemical compliance
* experience meeting international babywear safety standards
* strong construction and finishing quality
* ethical manufacturing practices
Experience working with:
* GOTS-certified organic cotton
* OEKO-TEX Standard 100
* CPSIA compliance
* REACH-compliant materials
* SGS / Intertek / Bureau Veritas testing will be highly valued.
Scope of work includes:
* sourcing and vetting premium babywear factories experienced in balancing performance fabrics with a soft hand-feel suitable for luxury babywear
* coordinating fabric and garment samples
* negotiating MOQs, lead times, and payment terms
* evaluating zipper, trim, label, and packaging suppliers
* reviewing production capabilities and QC standards
* providing a comparison matrix and final factory recommendation report with estimated landed costs and timelines
Please include:
* relevant babywear or apparel sourcing experience
* examples of brands/products you’ve worked on
* certifications and testing standards you’ve handled
* regions/factories you specialize in
* whether you already have relationships with mills producing premium bamboo, organic cotton, or UPF-rated fabrics
This is intended to become a long-term relationship as we expand future collections and production volumes. Partners capable of supporting growth into premium packaging/trims are preferred.
Reliability, communication, attention to detail, infant-safe compliance standards, and speed are extremely important.
Preference will be given to candidates with existing relationships with premium babywear manufacturers rather than general activewear or swimwear production.
