Location: Remote
I am looking for an experienced and detail-oriented AutoCAD draftsman for ongoing architectural drafting work on an hourly basis.
What you'll do:
• Importing PDF drawings into AutoCAD as XREFs
• Tracing façades/elevations and interior walls in AutoCAD
• Drawing windows and doors based on provided references
• Working within my existing AutoCAD template and layer structure
• Using a 50x50 grid system
• Delivering clean, organized, and accurate DWG files
• Many projects contain multiple floors. All exterior walls and structural elements must align perfectly between floors, because the drawings will later be imported into other software and stacked into a 3D model.
• Small drafting imperfections can create major problems during the import and 3D modeling process. Because of this, accuracy and clean drafting are far more important than speed.
Requirements:
• Strong AutoCAD experience
• Experience with architectural drafting and floor plans
• Ability to accurately trace drawings from PDFs
• Very high attention to detail
• Clean layer management and organized CAD drawings
• Ability to follow an existing template and drawing standards
• Reliable communication and consistency
Nice to have:
• Experience with façades and architectural elevations
• Experience with multi-floor architectural projects
• Understanding of CAD drawings used for 3D modeling workflows
• Your hourly rate
• A short introduction

The work mainly includes:

Many projects contain multiple floors. All exterior walls and structural elements must align perfectly between floors, because the drawings will later be imported into other software and stacked into a 3D model.
Small drafting imperfections can create major problems during the import and 3D modeling process. Because of this, accuracy and clean drafting are far more important than speed.
The work itself is not extremely difficult, but working neatly, consistently, and precisely is absolutely essential.
I also prefer someone who can start quickly and respond fast when new work comes in. However, quality is much more important than working fast. Poor-quality work is simply not usable for my workflow.
This is not a one-time project. I am looking for someone reliable for long-term collaboration if the quality and communication are good.
