ERP CSS Design System Build

Summary

Freelancer Client is hiring: ERP CSS Design System Build.

Location: Remote

I’m refactoring our in-house ERP (Next.js front end on a Supabase stack) and I need a developer who can craft a bespoke, vanilla-CSS design system that drops straight into the codebase without relying on utility frameworks. The look and feel must stay true to our existing brand standards, so colour palette, typography, spacing and overall UI tone are already defined—you’ll translate those rules into a reusable, high-performance stylesheet.

Each component should be fully responsive, keyboard-accessible and documented with usage notes so any member of the team can extend the styles later. I expect lean, well-commented CSS, logical class naming, and clear separation of layout, state, and theme concerns to keep the bundle size low and the codebase maintainable.

1. Production-ready CSS (and any minimal helper JS if absolutely necessary).

3. Short markdown guide outlining class conventions, variables, theming hooks, and how the styles map to our brand standards.

Skills: JavaScript, CSS, Branding, HTML5, HTML, Git, Web Development, Frontend Development, GitHub, Next.js

Budget: $12500–$37500 USD

I’m refactoring our in-house ERP (Next.js front end on a Supabase stack) and I need a developer who can craft a bespoke, vanilla-CSS design system that drops straight into the codebase without relying on utility frameworks. The look and feel must stay true to our existing brand standards, so colour palette, typography, spacing and overall UI tone are already defined—you’ll translate those rules into a reusable, high-performance stylesheet.

The system has to cover:

• Navigation bars
• Form elements
• Buttons and icons

Each component should be fully responsive, keyboard-accessible and documented with usage notes so any member of the team can extend the styles later. I expect lean, well-commented CSS, logical class naming, and clear separation of layout, state, and theme concerns to keep the bundle size low and the codebase maintainable.

Deliverables:
1. Production-ready CSS (and any minimal helper JS if absolutely necessary).
2. Component demo page built in our existing Next.js repo.
3. Short markdown guide outlining class conventions, variables, theming hooks, and how the styles map to our brand standards.
4. A quick walkthrough call or screen-recording that shows installation and basic extension points.

Performance, scalability and clarity of code will be the key acceptance criteria. Push a PR to our GitHub repo and, once merged, we’ll deploy to Vercel together.
