Criminology Research Data Entry Support

Summary

Freelancer Client is hiring: Criminology Research Data Entry Support.

Location: Remote

I’m juggling several ongoing studies in criminology and tech-law and need a sharp assistant to keep the research, data, and documents in perfect order. Each week I collect articles, case notes, and statutes that have to be distilled into three to five concise briefs. You will locate the sources I flag, cross-check every citation, record the key details in a shared Google Sheet or Excel file, and then format the findings into clean, professional documents that follow my template.

Accuracy is critical—page numbers, URLs, and dates must be double-checked before anything is filed. I’d like brief daily updates by email or Slack so we can resolve questions quickly and avoid re-work.

The workflow lives inside Microsoft Word/Excel and Google Docs/Sheets, with the occasional PowerPoint or Slides deck for summaries. If you already know criminology or legal terminology you’ll have a head start, but strong research skills and the ability to learn fast are just as valuable.

3–5 fully formatted research briefs (Word/Docs and PDF)

Updated citation tracker in Sheets/Excel with live links

Skills: Data Entry, Research, Excel, Legal Research, Word, Google Sheets, Google Docs, Microsoft Word

Budget: $15–$25 USD

Weekly deliverables
• 3–5 fully formatted research briefs (Word/Docs and PDF)
• Updated citation tracker in Sheets/Excel with live links
• A short changelog outlining new or revised entries

I review everything every Friday and release payment once the briefs and tracker align with the outline and pass a quick spot check for style and factual accuracy. This role can run through the academic year for someone who is meticulous, organised, and responsive. When you reply, mention a project where you worked with dense or technical material so I can see how you’ll fit.
