I am the author of a boutique financial publication focused on income investing. We have established strong "Product-Market Fit" within a niche audience of sophisticated investors, achieving an elite ~10% free-to-paid conversion rate.
What you'll do:
• Platform Engagement: Proactively managing our presence on Substack Notes—engaging with high-signal peers and influencers in the credit and income space.
• Partnership Management: Identifying, vetting, and securing Recommendation Swaps and Guest Posting opportunities with aligned financial publications.
• Technical Optimization: Continuous auditing of Substack SEO, tags, and "About" page conversion architecture.
• Onboarding & Funnel Design: Refining the "Welcome" sequence and lead magnets to ensure casual visitors from niche investment communities convert into long-term readers.
• Metrics & Reporting: Weekly check-ins on subscriber velocity, acquisition sources, and conversion health.

Requirements:
• The Operator Track Record: You have personally managed and scaled a Substack from "early traction" to "established authority" (1,000+ subs), ideally in Finance, Business, or Tech.
• Financial Literacy & Investment Expertise: You possess a professional understanding of yield-focused objectives versus total return. You are fluent in the mechanics of NAV, credit cycles, and credit structures, and can represent the brand as a peer-level authority in sophisticated investment discussions.
• Substack Mastery: Expert-level knowledge of the 2026 feature set (Notes, Referral Programs, and the Recommendation Graph).
• Proactive Mindset: You don't wait for instructions. You identify opportunities, propose the strategy, and execute.

Summary

We produce high-performance engine; now we need the fuel. I am seeking a Hands-On Growth Partner to work in partnership with me on distribution and discovery ecosystem to move us from 320 to 1,000+ high-intent subscribers.
This is not a "consulting" or "advice" role. I am looking for a partner to manage the "plumbing" and drive organic outreach so I can focus entirely on deep-dive research and writing.
The Scope of Execution
You will be the lead operator for our growth strategy, responsible for:
Platform Engagement: Proactively managing our presence on Substack Notes—engaging with high-signal peers and influencers in the credit and income space.
Partnership Management: Identifying, vetting, and securing Recommendation Swaps and Guest Posting opportunities with aligned financial publications.
Technical Optimization: Continuous auditing of Substack SEO, tags, and "About" page conversion architecture.

Compensation Structure (Retainer + Performance)
