Old Book Exchange Portal
Summary
Freelancer Client is hiring: Old Book Exchange Portal.
Location: Remote
I want to launch a simple, purpose-driven web portal that lets people list their old textbooks so students can easily browse what is available and request the copies they need. The heart of the site is a public catalogue—every book should appear with its title, author, short description, and condition, and visitors must be able to narrow their search quickly through clear category filters (subject, grade level, language, etc.).
Anyone who wants to add or manage a book will create an account; once signed in, they can post new listings, upload cover photos, edit details, or mark an item as already sent. An administrator area should give me full oversight so I can remove inappropriate posts, reset passwords, and pull simple usage reports.
Please build this on a modern, well-supported stack—whether that’s Laravel, Django, Node + React, or a comparable framework—as long as the final code is clean, responsive, and easy for another developer to extend later.
Fully deployed portal with user registration / login
Book catalogue with category filters and individual detail pages
Skills: PHP, JavaScript, Python, Django, HTML, Node.js, React.js, Web Development
Budget: $12500–$37500 USD
