Rotating Components Stress Analysis
Summary
Freelancer Client is hiring: Rotating Components Stress Analysis.
Location: Remote
I require mechanical calculations and engineering validation for existing automotive driveline components to determine whether they can safely withstand the torque output of a new GM engine installation.
I have completed preliminary calculations using standard mechanical engineering formulas and, based on those results, I believe the currently installed components do not meet the required torque capacity.
Recommendations regarding component adequacy or required upgrades (anticipated conclusion is likely “does not meet requirements”)
A formal engineering report summarizing calculations results, assumptions, methodology, and conclusions
The report should evaluate the driveline under the expected operating torque and loading conditions associated with the proposed GM engine installation.
Skills: Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering
Budget: $250–$750 USD

I require mechanical calculations and engineering validation for existing automotive driveline components to determine whether they can safely withstand the torque output of a new GM engine installation.
The assessment is focused on the following components:
Clutch
Driveshaft universal joints
Axle shafts
I have completed preliminary calculations using standard mechanical engineering formulas and, based on those results, I believe the currently installed components do not meet the required torque capacity.
I am seeking:
Independent validation of these calculations
Engineering assessment of component suitability
Recommendations regarding component adequacy or required upgrades (anticipated conclusion is likely “does not meet requirements”)
A formal engineering report summarizing calculations results, assumptions, methodology, and conclusions
A report reviewed and stamped by a licensed P.Eng.
The report should evaluate the driveline under the expected operating torque and loading conditions associated with the proposed GM engine installation.
